Product review: Ocean Free OF Hydra 30 Internal Filter

I am very impressed with one equipment that is OF Hydra 30 internal filter that I brought during Aquarama 2011. It is located at the bottom tank if you see it in the video. Note that both tanks are linked.

However, you need to let it run for a few months to see the results. I will buy the bigger version when the higher version is out.

    1. I never try it on Discus tank as I do not keep discus. I believe the product can be used for Discus.

      Part of maintainence:
Need to clean the area near the electrolysis plates and the media (Cata-Pure) that do the degradation process monthly to ensure the effectiveness of the process. The area can get choke if it is not cleaned.

    1. Just to comment:
The Hydra 30 is located in the sump.

Hydra 30 does not kill diseases in the tank. It will help to improve the quality of the water. So you still quarantine the new fishes and do regular water changes.

Still need to clean the filter properly and regularly. Slightly difficult to dismantle the filter to clean.
